then i saw green day , but i missed the opening act the riverdales because Nassau Coliseum is stupid and has no signs for it. and of course none of the stores near it know where it is either.
well anyway, i've also seen the goo goo dolls with universal honey (it was at my school so i went).
The Q 104.3 (nyc) 2nd birthday party, before they went to the classic rock format. They had god lives underwater, everclear, seaweed, spacehog, civ, gavin rosdale of bush singing one song, and white zombie (they actually sounded good, i think they played a tape or something but i'll get into that more later)
and i saw Marilyn Manson on january 2,1996 (Before sweet dreams came out, thank you).
God Lives Underwater twice more.
the second time they shot the video for "don't know how to be". i never saw the whole thing so i don't know if i got in it. the one video i want to see and i see like 20 seconds of the end, and it is never played again.
so here glu played with drill, 3 to 6 inches, and the discontents.
i also saw the foo fighters with the amps and that dog (u know the band with the corndog stand in beavis and butthead) at roseland in nyc.
then at school again i saw the mighty mighty bosstones and some other band chucklehead i think. this was probably one of the worst concerts that i went to. i was sick, and i thought both bands sucked. the one good thing was that i got a free cd of some band that i still haven't really listened to. so i'm still not really sure if that was a good thing or not.
then back to roseland, where i saw everclear , hagfish and menthol. it was really good as soon as menthol was gone it was great. everclear came on for 2 extra sets.
i went to the warped tour over the summer at the stone pony once i get the band list, i'll put them on my page.
then right before school started i went to one of the
best concerts ever: Pantera,
white zombie, and deftones .
i loved this concert for the most part.
were awesome.
someone stole one of chino's shoes and he held up the shoe he still
had and said if u see someone with a shoe that looks like this
beat him up. that was great, but as soon as white zombie came on
i was so bored. first rob couldn't sing at all. second what he did sing
sounded horrible and he would miss half the song (this is where my idea of the tape
comes from). and finally they tried to make up for everything with a bunch
of stupid pyrotechnics and big tv screens. the tv was more interesting than the show.
that's pretty sad. i can't believe that some people actually said white zombie
was great and pantera sucked.
i was like do u know which band is which.
pantera was awesome.
you could hear everyone singing along with phil, i loved it. besides white zombie the
worst thing about this show was that i was in the upper deck.
ok i have more concerts to write in but i'm kinda tired right now.
My next show was the WSOU 10th aniversary concert. there
were a bunch of bands there. i'll get the whole list soon
but here's what i remember off the top of my head: Drill,
Dog Eat Dog, Fear Factory, Fury of V, Pro-Pain, Murphy's Law,
Biohazard, Bile, Five Seconds Expired, Overkill, The Misfits,
and H2O. it was a cool show even though i missed most of Drill,
madball decided not to play, adn the surprise guest, sick of it all, never
played cause one of the guys in the band was hurt.
then after that i saw Fear Factory. it would have been great
if i wasnt' so sick but i was dying and still up by the edge
of the barricade. but during the day i met dino at WSOU, he signed
my bookbag, and when i saw him at the show, he signed my ticket
and he remembered me from before
then in january i went to see pantera at roseland, it was awesome. well after neurouis came on and finally left, clutch was there and they ripped it up. not the same as pantera but still great. not too many people there knew them. then pantera came on. i was down in the pit for a while, right in front of the stage it was cool not too rough but it was still great. so expect to see more bands and links to their homepages soon it will be up don't worry.
